James studied Business at Hertfordshire Regional College before starting his commercial career. In 1985 James joined locally based insurance company General Portfolio and after a few years of gaining all round experience he decided to specialise and concentrate on mortgages and commercial finance in 1990. Following several years of setting up and running mortgage desks in London for two insurance companies and an independent financial adviser, James joined the team at Chase De Vere in November 1995.

He quickly demonstrated his knowledge, expertise and determination to get the right result for his clients and over the thirteen years he was with Chase De Vere James built up an intensely loyal client base. Following Chase’s cessation of trading James joined the starting team at TMM and continues to look after his clients financial borrowing requirements. His straight forward, no nonsense approach has allowed his clients to appreciate that what you see is what you get and they are therefore happy to regularly recommend and refer him. Over the years James has also acquired a number of professional introducers who are delighted to recommend their clients to him largely due to his consistent and candid style.

James is married and lives near Cambridge with his wife, Lesley. They enjoy antiques and attend several regular fairs each year around the country. James is also very interested in property having made several well timed property moves and has  supervised a full renovations of his homes and  so is familiar and empathetic with all his client’s experiences and requirements.
